An important event for all fleets is to have all available aircraft ready for flight.

These occasions, extremely rewarding for the entire team responsible for the preparation, maintenance, and support of the aircraft, are called "White Flag" events.

The Portuguese F-16 fleet achieved two White Flags over its 30 years of existence. The first coincided with the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of Monte Real's Air Base in July 2009. The second occurred during the "Open Base" day at BA5 in May 2010.
